Battery Replacement
Dies by lunch? That’s the battery, and it’s about an hour.
Phones that shut off in the cold, get hot on the charger, or won’t make it through a beach day have a worn battery. A new one takes about an hour and nothing on your phone changes except how long it lasts.
What We Fix
- iPhone, all models
- Samsung Galaxy
- iPad
- Swollen battery removal
- Fresh adhesive and water seal
- Free diagnostic if you’re not sure it’s the battery
Not on the list? Text us a photo and the model and we’ll tell you in a minute.
How to know it’s the battery
On an iPhone, open Settings, Battery, Battery Health. Below about 80 percent Apple itself says the battery is worn. On a Samsung, Settings, Battery and device care, then Diagnostics. Random shutdowns with charge still showing, heat on the charger, or a screen starting to lift are all battery signs.
Not sure? Bring it in. The diagnostic is free and we’ll tell you if it’s the battery or something else.
Swollen batteries
If the screen or back is lifting, the battery inside has swollen. Stop charging it and bring it in today. It’s not dangerous to carry, but it will only get worse.
FAQ
How long does a new battery last?
Two to three years of normal use before it wears down the way the old one did. The warranty covers defects for the first year.
Can I wait while you do it?
Yes. Most swaps are done in about an hour, so people grab lunch nearby and come back.
